Converting between Yard and Meter Times

Yard to Meters:
Use the following formula to convert a time from a 25 yard pool to an equivalent time for a 25 meter pool:

Meter Time = (Yard Time in Seconds) * 1.116


Meters to Yards:
Use the following formula to convert a time from a 25 meter pool to an equivalent time for a 25 yard pool (.896 is the official NCAA conversion factor for all events less than 400 meters in length):

Yard Time = (Meter Time in Seconds) * .896
