Lauren CabalkaHead Swim Coach - 13 & UP Email
Hi. My name is Lauren…a
lot of people call me “LAW”. This will be my 25th
year with the Middleton Gators and I am thrilled to be back!
You will most likely see me around the pool with our newest
and youngest Gator as Jeremy and I will be welcoming Baby Cabalka
sometime in June. I will be coaching the 13 & Up’s
this season. I started swimming for the Gators in 1988 and
continued on for 14 years. During that time, I swam for
Mad-Town Aquatics (now Badger Aquatics) and Middleton High School,
where I was a captain and 4-year varsity letter winner. I
attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I majored in
History and Psychology. During my time there, I was a member
of the UW Triathlon Team where I competed in 2 of my 4 Ironman
competitions. I then attended Edgewood College for my teaching
degree. I currently am a history and AVID teacher at La
Follette High School in Madison and am the Middleton High School
girl’s head swim coach. When I'm not at the pool, I
love to exercise, read, cook and hang out with my dog,
Summitt. I believe that swimming is a lifelong sport to be
enjoyed by all as well as a sport which truly makes us better, more
well-rounded people. I am looking forward to another great
Gator season!

Hi. I'm
Scott. People call me Scott. I would like thank Lauren
for that wonderful welcome. This is my first year with the
Middleton Gators. I am a 2002 graduate of UW Stevens Point
and have been coaching swimming for 18 seasons. I am
originally from Wausau, WI where I started my swimming career at
the age of five. I have coached for UWSP, Madison West,
Middleton High School (girls and boys), and now Gators. When
not coaching I spend time with my wife Karla, my three year old son
Jaxon, and my five month old daughter Sophia.

Hi. My name is
Patrick… but Lauren likes to call me “P Trick.”
This will be my 2nd year as a Gator coach. I will be coaching the
11-12s this summer and am looking forward to a very fun and
successful summer with them. This will be my 6th year coaching in
the All-City league. I spent 4 years as the Seminole Sharks head
swim coach. I swam 15 years dating back to when I was and 8 &
under swimmer. I started with WRAT (Waunakee Rural Aquatics Club),
swam for BAC, Waunakee High School, and for the University of
Wisconsin- Eau Claire team. In high school I was a 4-year varsity
letter winner, 4-year captain, 4-year MVP, and 5-time school record
holder. In college I was a 4-year varsity letter winner,
“rookie of the year,” 2-year captain, and 1-time MVP. I
am currently in pursuit of my Master’s degree from Iowa State
University in Graphic Design / Human Computer Interface (MFA). Also
at Iowa State, I am a member of the Iowa State Cyclone’s
water polo team. When I’m away from the pool I enjoy doing
freelance graphic design work, exercising and hanging out with
friends.
 Grace Jarzemsky11-12Email
Hi! My name is Grace but most people call me "Gracie
J." This will be my second year as a Gator coach and I look
forward to coaching the 8 & Unders again this summer! I started
swimming with Gators when I was 6 years old and continued for 12
years. I swam for Middleton High School where I was a captain for
two years and a 4-year varsity letter winner. I now swim at
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where I am majoring in elementary
education and loving every minute of it! I had an amazing freshman
year where I placed at Conference in my individual events and had
the privilege to go to Nationals as a part of our 800 free relay
team. Swimming continues to be a sport that inspires me and that I
learn from every day. I look forward to another fun and successful
gator season!!

Hi. My name is Kayla…a lot of people call me
“KB”. This will be my 3rd year as a Gator Coach!! =) I
will be coaching the 9-10’s along with Johnny D this season.
I swam for the Middleton Gators for 10 years, and on the Middleton

being able to compete in eight WIAA state tournaments in four
years. I am currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison

another FUN and successful swim season!! BTW!!

All-City victory!! GO GATORS!!! BTW. I ♥
LAW.

Hello!
My name is Julia and
this will be my first year as a Gator Coach! I am very
excited to be an assistant coach for the 8 and Under Girls.
This will be my 12th year as a Gator swimmer so coaching will
be a fantastic addition to my Gator summer! I was on the
Varsity and State MHS Swim Team all four years of High School and I
was also a competitive downhill ski racer. Next year I will
be a Freshman at UW Madison and I will continue to swim, hopefully
as a member of the UW Triathlon Club. I can't wait for a
great summer with the Gators!
 Andi Kent8 & UnderEmail Lauren Schachte8 & UnderEmail
Howdy ya'll! My name is
Lauren but most people just call me "Schachte" or lately "Lauren
#2" because obviously LAW-C gets #1 status. This will be my 2nd
year coaching and my 11th year as part of the Gator family. I'll be
coaching those rowdy 8 & Under Boys with Gracie J, and of
course I'm super excited! I just finished up my freshman year at
UW-Madison, where I am pursuing a career in Journalism/Strategic
Communication & Spanish, although my ultimate goal still is to
be Lauren Cabalka. In high school, I swam and lettered all four
years at Middleton and was a captain my senior season. Even though
my swimming career is over, swimming is a sport that I am learning
from everyday and I love that I get to keep being a part of it
through coaching. I can't wait to work with the 8 & Unders and
as always, BTW!!!!
 Sarah Woodward8 & UnderEmail
Hi everyone, my name is Sarah and I will be coaching the gator 10
and unders! I graduated this year from Middleton High School, and
will continue my scholastic journey at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, where I plan to study biochemistry with dreams
of attending med school one day. I swam on varsity all 4 years of
high school and was a member of the 2009, 2010, and 2011 state
teams, and was a captain senior year. I also swam for Badger
Aquatics Club for 7 years, and YDC United for 2 years. This will be
my 13th and final year as a gator swimmer, and first, yet hopefully
not my last year as a coach! I've always wanted to be a coach, so I
can't wait for this summer! Finally... BTW!
RJ Leiferman8 & Under AssistantEmail Bill ReillyCo-Head Dive CoachEmail
Hi there! My names Bill, and this
is my third year coaching the gator dive team. I just finished up
my first year of college at UW-Milwaukee where I also got to dive 1
meter and 3 meter springboard. My interests include diving,
skateboarding and eating lots of different foods. My favorite color
is purple and I can quote nearly every episode of spongebob
squarepants. Oh yeah, and GO GATORS!!! :)
 Alyssa KrantzAssistant Dive CoachEmail
Hey. My name is Alyssa and this
will be my tenth year with the gators. This will be my first season
as a coach and I'm very excited. I dove for Middleton high school
for four years but unfortunately suffered an injury that kept me
out of most of this last season. Next year i will be attending UW
Eau Claire as an undecided major. I'm looking forward to getting
back into diving this summer and working with all of you.
